The house was in good condition with a great deal of charm and character, but the new owners wanted to add their own personality and repurpose some of the spaces to suit their lifestyle and interests.

The stone entrance hall and cantilevered staircase dramatically highlighted by a contemporary black and glass waterfall chandelier set the tone for the rooms to follow.

Our clients’s style leans towards clean, Scandinavian design, and they have an abundance of stunning artwork and objets which together work beautifully with the period features of the house.

We mixed natural materials — wood and stone flooring, breathable paints, soft Belgian linens, sumptuous wool rugs and pale oak furniture with accessories in black throughout the interiors.

After a complete redesign and refurbishment, the house is now an elegant and comfortable home that maximises the property’s architectural features and the beautiful views over Bath.
